[A screen pops up and at first nothing is seen, though the noise of something rubbing against the screen is plainly heard. There's a muffled voice before whatever was rubbing against it was pulled away. There's now a blond haired boy on the screen, a blue bird with cloud like wings on his shoulder.]

Doesn't look like the fall broke it, Sky... Huh? It's on?

[The boy stood straighter and looked around.]

I guess we can send a message this way.

[He looks down at the screen again as his little friend chirps.]

If anyone can hear this, can you tell me what's going on? This lady said she was my mom, and there was this old guy who gave me a red and white ball and talked about Pokémon. Is that what Sky is? She just looks like a bird with clouds for wings.

[Sky objects to this and chirps shrilly into her trainer's ears. This causes the boy to drop the device, which promptly lands on the grass. Now there's just a view of the sky and muffled grumbling.]

[Sky peeks at Naminé from behind her wing. She chirps and uncovers her face, singing now.]

I think she likes that idea.

I'm glad. I can't wait until we can meet in person, Sky.

[She chirps once more and tries to hug the screen.]

A Seel.

[A pause, wait, seals are real creatures. She'll just demonstrate it visually by turning the camera to a Dewgong.]

I mean, he was a Pokemon called a Seel, then when he got stronger he grew into a Dewgong. [Thalassa just claps. Hello friend!] Then I have my other friends that aren't Water types like Pluto, Minnie, Axel...I don't have as many as some people have, but I'm happy with the ones I made friends with.

[ She laughs softly. ]

She's... very excited?

[Oh wow... that's really cute.

He stops being in awe and blinks.]

[And the screen goes dark. Oops.]

[Oh no, she shouldn't have said that name.

But he'd meet Axel sooner or later, it wouldn't make sense to keep it from him.]

My Pyroar. [So she'll pretend that it's a mere coincidence, panning the camera to a lion-like creature.] Riku told me that I was here before and had a Pokemon by that name, so I decided to honor his memory by passing on the name. I don't know how else to explain it, that's more complicated stuff this place throws at you.

[He smiles despite himself.]

The Axel I knew... Well, barely knew... could use fire. So it fits him.

[That memory makes him sad. They were best friends. Roxas felt horrible for not remembering him.]

[Mostly because it opens the floodgates to a billion questions. C'mon, Roxas. Tell him more.]

It's nothing big. Just weird things happening around town. And the whole Keyblade thing.

But weird could mean just about anything. C'mon, what about the specifics?

[Roxas, this is totally up his alley. Weird stuff from other worlds? Always fun to hear.]

Why do you want to know about all this?

[He doesn't get it.]

Because it's interesting? It's not like I got to see any other worlds for myself.

[That sounds sad.]

So you didn't get to see things like Sora... has he told you all about the worlds?

Just bits and pieces. I've been meaning to ask for more info, but we've... kinda had other things on our minds.

No, actually, it hurts even more. She just can't tell him, "yes, I know Axel, too!" Talk about despite whatever circumstances Roxas might have met him under, he's a good person, he promised he'd always look after them.

Rather, like a brother if she thought about it in family terms.

And Roxas, too, is like a brother. But none of them know her, and it'd be too painful, too complicated to burden them with that knowledge that she was someone they knew. Xion, you'd be starting over with Roxas again anyway, there's no point to giving him the history.]

[She knows she's talking about Axel the Pokemon, but at the same time...

Xion can't let herself get too lost in her thoughts, though, as the Pyroar places a heavy paw on the Gear and pushes it down, as if to cut out Roxas from her sight. You're getting upset, his expression tells her. Retreat for now.]

...Oh, uh. [Right. Don't start crying or anything. Just bring back up the Gear and address Roxas.] I should...go, Kairi and Namine will probably be looking for me, if we're going to bring you over. Um...see you later, Roxas.

[And she clicks off the feed.]

[Not really, anyway. Deferring to Sora doesn't explain his experiences.]

[Why did Xion look so sad? Was it something he said? Roxas feels guilt well up in stomach. He did something alright. What it was he'd probably find out later.

The Gear suddenly going dark reminded him of how Sky had pulled something like that. Though this seemed different.

When Xion pops up on the screen again, it was Roxas's who looked sad.]

Alright. See ya then.

[What else could he say?]

I don't know how to explain it! Weird things happened to me, I fought these creatures called Nobodies, and I got a Keyblade.

Wait, but aren't you a Nobody? I don't know if I'd think of you guys as "creatures"...

[That may've come out a bit more blunt than he intended, but his knowledge of stuff like the Organization's still pretty vague.]

What?! I'm nothing like those things!

[He's on the defensive now.]

Things? But I thought Nobodies looked just like people. And last I heard, you were Sora's Nobody, so...

[Yeah, just color him confused. This is getting kinda weird.]
