[A screen pops up and at first nothing is seen, though the noise of something rubbing against the screen is plainly heard. There's a muffled voice before whatever was rubbing against it was pulled away. There's now a blond haired boy on the screen, a blue bird with cloud like wings on his shoulder.]

Doesn't look like the fall broke it, Sky... Huh? It's on?

[The boy stood straighter and looked around.]

I guess we can send a message this way.

[He looks down at the screen again as his little friend chirps.]

If anyone can hear this, can you tell me what's going on? This lady said she was my mom, and there was this old guy who gave me a red and white ball and talked about Pokémon. Is that what Sky is? She just looks like a bird with clouds for wings.

[Sky objects to this and chirps shrilly into her trainer's ears. This causes the boy to drop the device, which promptly lands on the grass. Now there's just a view of the sky and muffled grumbling.]

[He blinks and has to think]

I destroyed a computer. Why?

[ Okay, so not far off from where she comes. Or rather... when. ]

There are people here... that may say they know you. They're from our world, but they come from different times. It was a bit confusing at first, but... they really do probably know you, Roxas.

[He frowns. That's really confusing.]

How is that possible?

I'm not really sure... but... several people I know of should look a lot older than they do, and... they don't. And I think I come from a later time than you, Roxas.

[ Slight discomfort at that; Naminé bites her lip lightly. ]

[But she was just there in that room... His head hurts.]

This doesn't make sense...

Mm. It doesn't, really... I try not to think about it too much.

... how long have you been here?

A few months.

[He would have replied if Sky hadn't conveniently flopped into his arms to see who was on the screen. She chirps a greeting.]

Sky... why do you keep doing that?

[ Mini takes the opportunity to plop herself in Naminé's lap. Naminé pets her a few times, smiling gently. ]

She likes you.

Really?

[That does make sense. He pets her, and Sky coos softly.]

I thought she just wanted attention.

Well, yes, that too. But if she didn't like you, she wouldn't want your attention.

[He hugs his little friend, and she looks very happy.]

I like her, too.

Mm. She's adorable. [ And very popular, it seems. ] Mini, I think, was attached to me the moment we met.

Are there any who don't like their trainers?

[Sky huddles up in his arms and starts dozing off.]

I hope not... I haven't seen it before, but...

[ A Pokémon, not liking its trainer... it seems sad. ]

It'd be sad if that happened. I mean, these guys are really sweet.

Mm. And very loyal, too.

[ SPEAKING OF... There's a Ralts. Peeking up from the bottom of the screen. ]

Roxas, this is Gwion.

[That thing was different. Not in a bad way, just in a strange way.]

Gwion? Is that what that is?

It's his nickname. His species is called Ralts. He's a Psychic type.

Whoa! Like telekinesis and stuff?

Yes. They can speak to you that way, if they know you're comfortable with it.

[ And then Ellie and Hope join the party. Roxas, say hello to kitties. Staring. Into your soul. ]

This is Hope and Ellie.

[Cats! He's actually not too creeped out by their staring.]

Hi! You two look really cool!

[ Naminé pauses for a moment, looking like she's listening. ]

They say thank you. I hope you can find one of your own--they evolved from Espurrs, and you should be able to find one along the first route.

[Sky wakes up long enough to hear about Espurrs. She screeches and flies off rather terrified.]
