[The feed pops on, and there is a small batch of eggs sitting on a nest of what looks like blankets. Behind the eggs sits a somewhat miffed Altaria. She seems to want to sit on the eggs, but keeps being shooed gently by whoever was holding the camera.]

Sky! How can they see the eggs if you keep covering them?

[Sky huffs and settles down, keeping a close eye on the eggs. The camera is shifted so that Roxas can be seen.]

So, I got to Violet City last night and woke up to eggs. There's Noibat, Swablu, Rufflet, Dedenne, and a few Shinx eggs. Oh, but the Dedenne eggs are already spoken for! Naminé and North, I'll send them to you as soon as I can!

[His attention is caught by something out of the line of the sight of the camera. He lets out a yelp before dropping the gear.

The feed cuts off right after.]

So what's the deal with eggs? Other than all Pokemon lay them.

I was warned about that.

I'm a breeder, so it's my job to breed Pokémon. Or so the manual said.

I guess they want us to fill the world with more Pokémon.

Do they...need that much help breeding?

But what's the point of buying them? Well, obviously that means you're sure to get what you want, but is there anything else?

If you want them to have good move sets, you gotta raise them first and get TM's. It's not just about letting them make eggs!

Bred ones have moves that some in the wild won't get until they get much higher level. I know a couple of mine have Fly already, and that's an HM you have to get from one of the higher leveled gym leaders. Just need the badge that goes with it!

So there's definite bonuses to hatching Pokemon from eggs, got it.

How hard is it to do that?

They're also a lot friendlier from the start.

If the Pokémon are compatible, and they like each other, it's not hard at all. But if they like each other and aren't compatible... there's not a lot you can do about that.

Are caught ones ever not friendly at all?

Oh! Ha! [Korra laughs.]

No, I mean hatching an egg! I'm sure they've got the other stuff covered.

Some people catch some angry Pokémon...

O-Oh. The hatching part is easier. It depends on the Pokémon? Some hatch really fast, others take a long time.

Do you need any special training or anything?

Yeah! You see people on the feed sometimes, complaining about Pokémon that are really mean even after being with the trainer for a while. I hatched a angry Pokémon, so that can happen, too.

Not really. Everything's in the manual. Or you learn from other breeders.

I feel kind of bad for the Pokemon in that situation...

Maybe I ought to get an egg...

I did my best to take care of it. But in the end I had to give him up to a friend.

I've got my other angry one, but at least he doesn't attack people.

It's a lot of flying types. Swablu is the little version of the big fluffy bird I've got.

I think Pokemon are like people - some of'em are just angry.

I'm gonna do a little research and get back to out, thanks! I could use a flying type. That's basically the same as air.

Can't you help them get less angry?

Yeah. The eggs I have have the move Fly. You can use that when you've got the Violet City badge.
