[Roxas pops up on the network, a green and yellow scarf around his neck with his Dedenne peeking out of his coat. Neither will complain about the cold. This is a first for both of them. The backdrop is clearly Ecruteak.]

So when's it supposed to start snowing again? Does anyone know?

[Vivi squeaks the same question. He wants to play in more snow!]

Oh yeah... do they have a Pokémon Santa here? It's Christmas this month, and I've never seen a Santa before other than the weird ones that are ringing bells. And if it's a person instead, isn't Santa supposed to ride around on a sled pulled by reindeer? Stantler are like reindeer, so I guess he'd have those here... how does he deliver all those presents in one night? Is there more than one Santa?

[These are pressing questions, people. Please enlighten the blond and his tiny squeak.]

Actually, there were flying Sawsbuck last year. Not exactly Stantler, but close enough, right?

[He fidgets with a Pokéball, tossing it up and down.]

Downside's that we couldn't keep them.

Hey, who knows? It is the season...

[Actually, this gives him another idea. If there are flying reindeer...]

Maybe we'll see some kind of Poké-elves this year. He's gotta have some helpers in his workshop, right?

Hmm... I guess they do fit the Christmas theme, but what if he's got little Snorunts or something? Maybe some faerie types.

Hmm... Actually, I could see that. Not only that, but Kanto's got this legendary bird-- Articuno, I think? Don't know much about it, but I'd bet it might have something to do with Christmas here.

Roxas, they've got moves that can change the weather, and that goes for regular Pokémon, too. And I've seen giant titans here that almost wiped out the world...

So yeah, I'd say it's pretty likely.

[personal profile] islandshore 2016-01-03 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
But they can still do it. Heck, some have abilities that change it as soon as they're let out of their balls.

As for the Titans... They're these giant golems made of rock, metal, and ice. Wound up nearly flattening all the cities, and even the toughest Pokémon couldn't leave a scratch.

Honestly? I'm still not sure. There was a bright flash, and then the titans just... disappeared.

[However, his expression soon sours.]

The wreckage didn't, though. Kinda a pain, but I guess it could've been worse.

Not everything, but a good chunk of the damage. Some gyms were closed for a while, towns were a mess... Wouldn't be the first time we've faced disaster, but it's definitely one of the more memorable ones.

[He shakes his head.]

Nah, pretty sure everything's still accessible... well, other than Tohjo falls, but they only open their doors for special occasions.

Hmm... It's at the very edge of Kanto, east of New Bark, but it's off limits to everyone who isn't part of the Elite our.

[personal profile] islandshore 2016-01-26 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Nah. It's more like a resort. There's a big mansion and everything-- definitely a high class spot, so it's no wonder they keep the doors shut half the time.

Honestly? I think they keep it closed so they don't have to deal with the public. They are a pretty big deal, anyway, and they haven't even taken challengers in years.

Could be that, could be them being total hermits. Maybe they don't want to deal with the publicity or the loopholes of outsiders becoming champ.
