[seasaltkey]

[A screen pops up and at first nothing is seen, though the noise of something rubbing against the screen is plainly heard. There's a muffled voice before whatever was rubbing against it was pulled away. There's now a blond haired boy on the screen, a blue bird with cloud like wings on his shoulder.]

Doesn't look like the fall broke it, Sky... Huh? It's on?

[The boy stood straighter and looked around.]

I guess we can send a message this way.

[He looks down at the screen again as his little friend chirps.]

If anyone can hear this, can you tell me what's going on? This lady said she was my mom, and there was this old guy who gave me a red and white ball and talked about Pokémon. Is that what Sky is? She just looks like a bird with clouds for wings.

[Sky objects to this and chirps shrilly into her trainer's ears. This causes the boy to drop the device, which promptly lands on the grass. Now there's just a view of the sky and muffled grumbling.]

Yeah... I don't really expect you to remember me at this point.

[ and behind him? a fluffy bird. an Altaria that looks pretty anxious... even though Sora is pushing him away. ]

I've kinda been here for a while.

[ years, in fact! ]

I've never even met you.

[He frowns. He's been here a while? Years? He's only seen Sora in dreams. Sora's dreams. This is all so weird...

And then he notices the Altaria.]

Ah! You have an Altaria!

[A nice girl told him all about Altaria.]

[heartdive]

Not yet you haven't. But you will. It's kinda super confusing so don't worry about it too much. Just know that I'm you're friend, 'kay?

[ that's all anyone needs to worry about. now at the mention of 'Altaria,' Fluffy chirrups and butts Sora's shoulder.

so okay, okay. Fluffs gets some screen time. ]

Yeah... Fluffy and I go way back. He was the one I woke up with.

[seasaltkey]

H-Hey! You can't just say stuff like that! What if I don't want to be your friend?

[He grumbles softly. Fluffy is cute. Sora is presumptuous. Sky is super happily chirping.]

......

[Just his luck that he has the same Pokémon that Sora had when he got here.]

[heartdive]

[ Sora's just gonna keep being Sora. ]

We're in a place where all the other stuff really doesn't matter, Roxas. I don't really know what you know and don't know, but I'm just happy to see you again. Who knows when that could be again.

[seasaltkey]

[How can you argue with a guy who sees a rainbow in every situation? Doesn't stop Roxas from grumbling some more.]

.....

[Or even really stay mad at him...]

Fine. Whatever.

[heartdive]

Besides! I bet Xion and Naminé are super excited to have you around again.

[seasaltkey]

[He blinks in confusion. He knows Naminé. But...]

Who's Xion?

[heartdive]

A... Friend?

[ oh man how does he even. nope. NOPE. ]

[seasaltkey]

I don't know anyone with that name. Is she a friend of yours?

[Name does not ring a bell at all.]

[heartdive]

Something like that. I kinda saw her before but I didn't really meet her until I came here.

[ dreams are so weird like that. ]

[seasaltkey]

That...

[... sounds exactly like how Roxas knew about Sora.]

... isn't too weird.

[heartdive]

Not compared to a lot of things, no. All of our lives are just way super complex. I think it's just kind of better to just nod your head and go with it. Don't get caught up on the details, you know?

[seasaltkey]

[That's not how Roxas's mind works. ]

How does that make sense?

[heartdive]

Because sometimes knowing all of the details just doesn't help. In the end none of that stuff matters. You can't change the past. Only the future and make it better.

[seasaltkey]

[Have a blank stare.]

[heartdive]

Did I lose you?

[seasaltkey]

No.

[Sora oozes optimism. Roxas doesn't know if he can keep up with him.]

[heartdive]

Then did I say something wrong?

[seasaltkey]

[He shakes his head and grabs Sky, moving the camera so she was the focus. She chirps happily at Sora and wiggles. Time to change subjects.]

Sky, this is Sora.

[heartdive]

[ oh hey that's fine. Sora's okay with that sliding. instead he's grinning and greeting the new bird on the screen. ]

Hi Sky!

[ which of course turns into Sora introducing Fluffy to Sky. ]

[seasaltkey]

[Sky let's out a rather shrill noise of happiness which causes Roxas to drop her and the gear.]

O-Ow! Sky!

[Now there's sad chirps. They don't last long as the gear is picked up again, Roxas sighing as he's once more holding Sky.]

She keeps doing that...

[heartdive]

You kind of get used to it. Just be careful when she learns Sing. It puts you right to sleep.

But they make pretty awesome pillows. Just saying.

[seasaltkey]

[He'll keep that in mind.]

Huh? But she's so small!

[Sky huffs an objection.]

[heartdive]

She won't be forever! ...If she wants to evolve. She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to.
