[The video pops up and here is Roxas, with Sky his Swablu beside him. She's holding a small red orb in her mouth, and looks oh so proud. There's a green one and a yellow on in front of her, and a blue one in Roxas's hand. He looks a bit confused.]

I was thinking about home yesterday and my friends, and this morning I woke up with these marbles. I noticed that other people were getting things, too, that they wished for. Do you think we get to keep them? The little things?

[It's an innocent enough question. He just really wants to keep these marbles.]

And if we don't get to keep them, can we find things like this here?

[He'll wait patiently for a reply as he shuts his gear off.]

[Guess who didn't go to the birthday party because he felt awkward about going to a party of a girl he was pretty sure disliked him. Roxas did get her a present. He'd just been way too awkward about giving it to Ilya. He had thought about asking Kairi, Xion, or Naminé to give it to her. Would that be cheating.

Since he had no idea what girls liked, he had walked around. A store caught his eye and he wound up getting two things: a flower hairpiece and a wing headband. Roxas knew that girls at least liked pretty things. Sky even gave them her seal of approval. He carried the boxes in his hands out of the room and looked around. Where were the girls rooms again?]

Having a best friend is sorta the same as having a sibling - only thing you're missing out on is sharin' everything!

[Rin "borrows" most of Yukio's clothes on the daily. Hmmm, but time to give that some serious thought.]

Good question. ...How about in a month? By then you'll have your badge and I might be closer to Kanto! We'll sync up locations somehow and I'll make sure that the story'll knock yer socks off!

Siblings share things?

[OH THAT MAKES SENSE... Kairi kept wearing Xion and Naminé's clothes. So that's why!]

Okay! So July 5th then? That's a month from now.

Yeah. Food, clothes, secrets... Sometimes I take his glasses, just to bug him.

[YEP. SIBLINGS SHARE EVERYTHING... OR THEY SHOULD...]

Okay! So July 5th. But where...? I have a place in Goldenrod but after seeing Celadon it's not nearly as cool.

[Wow, Roxas doesn't have too many except what he really was.]

Wait... I don't know if that day would work. Is the 7th okay? I can try and be in Saffron by then.

Yeah. Like, you know, things only the two of you know about.

[Wait, Roxas knew what secrets were, right...?]

The 7th sounds good to me! I could meet you by the Magnet Train? Or... I dunno, maybe I could take the train to Kanto. I'd have to ask 'em where we're goin' first.

... I guess I gotta think if I have any.

...Actually, the 15th might be better. That'll give me time to let you tour the city! The bakery I work for is in there too.

[He wasn't entirely sure but he had a feeling something was going to happen to him on the 4th of July.]

Sea-salt ice cream. And pretty much anything else. I don't think I like sushi much. It's raw fish, and that's weird.

[HE'LL TRY ANYTHING ONCE.]

[He nods. As he speaks, it's clear that he's incredibly proud of what he does for his earnings in Johto.]

Yeah, it's a little place called Honeyed Soul and we bake lots of differnt food for people and pokemon. The menu changes for each season and we're always figuring out new things to put on it.

Never heard of sea salt ice cream... [But that sounds like a good summer idea. Maybe he'll pass it on. What? Roxas didn't like sushi? GYAHAHAHA -- ]

Hahaha, really? Not all of it's raw, y'know. But I can respect that. No sushi for you, then~.

[Whereas he doesn't even know how to turn on the stove.]

That sounds hard... No one has! [Insert sad face here.] I don't know how to make ice cream, or else I'd make my own...

[Shh shh, it's okay. Maybe Rin will teach Roxas, if he ever asks.]

It can be, I guess, but it's a lot of fun to figure out what new things people and pokemon might wanna eat.

[Congrats, Roxas, you have officially made Rin comfortable enough to elaborate.]

For pokemon, you have to figure out what their tastes are and make sure to pick the right berries for the job. Pokemon can eat human food, but it's not great for their stomachs. It's like - heavy, y'know? Some pokemon can eat it without a problem, like the big ones. But little ones that aren't going to evolve or haven't evolved need better nutrition.

[A pause - was he talking too much?] ...Uhm, yeah, so it's not too hard...

[a-another pause because wow, he didn't mean to go on like that...] The ice cream. Sea salt ice cream? What does it taste like?

... that makes a lot of sense. My Pokémon all like different stuff, so I let them pick their own food. It makes them happier that way, but if it makes them healthier... I'll learn more about berries! Thanks!

[He'd do anything for the creatures he considers his family.

!!!!] It's salty and sweet. Like vanilla with sea salt added. Not too much, just the perfect amount! And it's blue, like the sea, and comes on a popsicle stick.

[Roxas is a good pokemon trainer and a good person by extension. He hadn't meant to give advice about pokemon feeding habits, so the thanks comes by as a surprise. Rin's not too sure how to take it... There's an odd stutter on his end before he breaks out into a smile.]

Sure! Anytime you wanna know more about food, I'll be glad to help! You know there's a manual for the berries, right?

[Sea salt ice cream sounds really good... He's never made ice cream before but the name alone sounds interesting enough to try. He should ask the others about it.]

...I wish I had some ice cream right now...

[Roxas notices the stutter but has no idea what it could be about. Did he say something weird? He blinks and takes a mental note.]

I didn't get one when I came here. Isn't that what Breeder's get when they arrive?

[He wonders how he could get one.

[Rin takes a moment to think about it before the answer comes to him.]

...Yeah. But I think you can buy it too? Or just ask a breeder. They probably aren't using it.

[Between the hordes of eggs and the troubles of pokemon-child rearing, how much time do they really dedicate to berry manuals?]

I could, but I already had something planned for tonight.

I don't know if I know any breeders... I'll ask Riku. He has that breeding center now!

[Knowing how long Riku has been here, a lot.]

Then get some tomorrow!

The breeding center is still running? Cool! Then ask him! Or Saber. She should still be around somewhere.

[And if not, well, you know. Things happen. Rin has to laugh at that.]

Maybe. I'd rather tomorrow be a surprise when it comes to sometime like dessert!

She used to be in charge of the Breeding Center back when I worked there. I was still in charge of making sure the pokemon ate well.

[And now Roxas knows a Saber -- HOLY SHIT WHAT JUST HAPPENED.]
